Dog Bite Injury – $195,000 Settlement
Our client was bit by a pit bull sustaining injuries to her face and wrist. She sustained some permanent scarring to these areas. She developed a cyst in her lip which had to be removed. In addition, she developed cellulitis and tendinitis in her right wrist causing her difficulty in performing work duties as a hair stylist. The case settled pre-suit for $195,000.
Comminuted Fracture of the Left Humerus (Left Arm), C6 Cervical Spine (Neck) Fracture, and Right Distal Phalanx (Right Ring Finger) Fracture – Motor Vehicle Collision – $255,000 Policy Limits Settlement
Our client was a rear passenger in a rollover crash sustaining fractures to her neck, left arm, and right hand. An open reduction internal fixation (ORIF) surgery was performed for the left humeral shaft fracture. A closed reduction with fixation of the distal phalangeal fracture was also performed. She has permanent scarring to her left arm and has hardware in her left arm. The case settled for the policy limits of $250,000 from the third-party auto liability insurer plus $5,000 in medical payments coverage from our client’s first party auto insurer.
Multiple Fractures – Motor Vehicle Collision – $300,000 Policy Limits Settlement
Our 77 year old client was severely injured after she was struck by another vehicle on the highway. She sustained a cervical spine (neck) fracture at C2, fracture of right distal femur (right leg), left 3rd-9th rib fractures, a complex pelvic fracture, and right sacral fracture (lower back). She was hospitalized and thereafter required inpatient rehabilitation followed by home health care and outpatient rehabilitation. She required a chair lift to get up the stairs at her home. The case settled for the policy limits of $300,000.

Our 16 year old client was injured in a multiple vehicle collision caused by a distracted driver. The airbags deployed. Our client sustained a severe whiplash injury and a traumatic brain injury. Shortly after the crash, he developed a traumatic seizure disorder for which he requires ongoing care. The case settled for the $100,000 policy limits from the third party auto liability carrier and $100,000 in medical payments coverage from the first party auto insurance carrier.
