Multi-Car Crash in Riverside Results in One Fatality and One Injury
The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal wrong-way collision involving three vehicles near milepost 20 of Ohio Route 4 in Riverside, Ohio. The crash occurred around 7:30 p.m. on February 25, 2024.
A 2016 Hyundai Veloster, driven by a 56-year-old Dayton man, was traveling south in the northbound lanes. At the same time, the Hyundai sideswiped a 2006 Cadillac Escalade SUV before crashing head-on with a 2015 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck.
The Hyundai driver was pronounced dead at the scene as a result of the crash. The pickup driver, Abdullah Johnson, 56, sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries. Thereafter, Johnson was taken to Miami Valley Hospital for treatment. The SUV driver was not injured.
